Will Jemison, PH.D

President

Dr. Will Jemison is the Chief Executive Officer of JAMHI Health and Wellness in Juneau, Alaska. An experienced leader in community health and organizational effectiveness, Will leads a healthcare organization serving the behavioral and primary care needs across eight campuses in Southeast Alaska. Will previously served as Chief of Staff of Alice Walton School of Medicine in Bentonville, Arkansas and as Chief Administrative Officer for Resurrection Health in Montgomery, Alabama. In those roles, Jemison drove efficiency in operations, structure, and change management strategy through an academic medicine and population health lens.

Jemison has over 18 years of senior leadership experience in organizational effectiveness in healthcare, government, and nonprofit sectors, with an emphasis in engaging underserved and marginalized communities. Jemison also holds additional experience in national project consulting to three Secretaries of the US Army. 

Having extensively traveled the world, Jemison serves as representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, where he works to draw attention and resources to health, educational, and economic issues impacting the most vulnerable populations globally.

Jemison has earned the Doctor of Healthcare Administration and an MBA with certifications in project management and nonprofit governance. In addition to his service as Board President of the Juanita Sims Doty Foundation, Will also serves on the boards of the Catholic Foundation and the Alaska Primary Care Association. His memberships include American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association of Health Services Executives, International Community Ambassadors Network, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, and 100 Black Men of America.
