NATIONAL CHOOSE TO GROW NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Celebrating Our Future Courageous Leaders
On June 8-10 2023, the Choose to Grow National Youth Leadership Summit was held in Jackson and Flowood, Mississippi. This summit brought together Ambassadors of the Evers Academy for African American Males (A-TEAAM) and Empowering Scholars Through Education, Engagement and Mentorship (E-STEEM) GEMs from various sites to celebrate their program accomplishments. The Juanita Sims Doty foundation also celebrated 10 years of collaboration during this time. The weekend included a Welcome session, a Racial Equity Symposium, an Awards and Recognition Brunch and the unveiling of the 6th Edition of I!CAN Imagine: Voices of Our Future Courageous Leaders.
The Juanita Sims Doty Foundation was also honored to participate in the 60th Commemoration Festivities honoring Medgar and Mrylie Evers as the foundation celebrated a decade of partnering with the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute in serving our youth!
