Impacting Girls through Education, Scholarship, Tutoring, Empowerment, Engagement and Mentorship

Purpose: A mentoring program for girls that: builds their confidence; enhances their character, aids them in the pursuit of fulfilling their dreams and advances their scholarship in the college and career readiness standards.

Partners: The Cleveland Kirkland Foundation (CKF), in partnership with JSD Foundation, Jackson State University Department of Athletics & The Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute

The first year of the ESTEEM partnership was 2018-2019 at Hardy Academy for Career Exploration in Jackson, MS.  The program started with 11 Mentors and 22 seventh (7^th) grade Girls Empowered and Mentored (GEMS).   There are now three ESTEEM sites in Mississippi - Jackson, Meridian and Starkville.
